Lego clock

I know that there are both LEGO enthusiasts hereabouts and thought some might be interested in this video.

Takes it a bit far by making it capable of marking off a billion years, but the basic clock stuff is rather interesting and shows nicely how simple pendulum clocks work.

I enjoyed that. Thumbs Up

I’m not sure the power pack or indeed the mechanical release parts would last much more than the first of the billion years. Wink

I was surprised that there was enough energy to overcome all of the friction from the various mechanisms. I did wonder if there might be a sneaky electric motor in there that we can't see, as well as the one used for rewinding.

Does this define the indestructabilty of Lego plastic.

And I think the year counter should have been pre set from the big bang Whistle

but then again do we know how long ago that was. Shocked To the nearest year of course!
