Interesting...

My original key is still functional but the outer casing is coming apart / split.

Could I buy this and transfer the circuit board over?

How difficult is it to get to the circuit board on the OEM?

From memory the original shells aren't much more that 20 quid direct from land rover.

When I bought my car, one key is like new and the other is completely falling apart from use..
I bought such empty enclosures on Ebay and I moved the boards from the old to the new enclosure without any problems, everything fit perfectly, it works until today, when the button markings wore off, I used the next one because I bought two, I think the cost was 5 pounds for one then.
