Hi Is it possible to request advice from the forum please?
Tried to start the car yesterday, clicking. Called the AA as it part of the benefits from my bank account, so handy.
He was really helpful and it is not the first time he has arrived at our address in the past. He removed all of the undercovers and tapped the soloniod/starter and it turned over.
My main question is what should I replace the starter with? a Britpart/Aftermarket or Bosch/Lucas?
Are there any reviews or opinions on a Britpart/Aftermarket starter or are they best avoided?
Any repair kits available for genuine starters?

I have an old but good starter kicking around if you want it. Just cover postage.  New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
