Bluetooth in 2005

I need bt in my D3. It seems to have the right accoutrements but no bt. Green and red buttons on steering column, phone button on centre consol but no joy to pair phone.
Can I just buy a D4 bt module and fit it. If so, where does it go etc.

D4 one could go in the boot(right side). As that is where the current one is.

Power connector is different though. But it’s just 2 wires. Either use an internal computer connector ( led front panel ) or grey one from Ali express

Thanks Pete. I'm not sure if there is an original module in my car. Hopefully there's a place for one.

If you dont find a bluetooth unit in the rhs boot panel thenTry reading this, you need to go a few pages in to find an install in the front.
You will need:
Piggyback fuse connector , M.O.S.T 3 way cable, positive&negative connectors.
Yes you do need to alter the ccf.
Its all there. Thumbs Up

What V8man is probably thinking is that there was an accessory kit available, which incuded the red and green buttons and maybe this is fitted to your car.
It was a poor accessory kit as it had no where near the functionaity of the factory fitted kit and was a lot of work to fit. If this kit was fitted there would have been 2 boxes by the gear selector (under the trim)

The factory kit would have been a Nokia shaped box fitted in the boot, with the orange fibre cable connected to it
