DPF status - control by GAP IID
Hi everybody
I need your help
I have a MY2010 Disco4 TDV6
I am trying to control the status and health of my Diesel particle filter by using the GAP IID BT Tool.
I found some channels which gives me some indication about the current filling status, such as Differential pressure etc. But its indicated in Volts.
So my one is showing value 1.0 when full and 0.7 to 0.8 when regenerated.
Does someone has an overview which channels to select and how to interprete them to check the filling status of the DPF?

Look at "DPF soot concentration - inferred using differential pressure"
This is the only field that shows its "volume".Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Here’s a comment from a very well respected LR specialist on this forum (Steve Norman) regarding a set of parameters I had on my car around this subject on my IID. There may be some useful information in here for you:
Steve commented on the values I provided :
Oil quality dilution factor - inferred 6.48.
If I remember rightly then over 6% will display a service required message.
Have you checked the oil level on the dash readout? Does it state overfilled?
Number of demanded regenerations:15856
This is where the software finds the DPF has reached it's limit on soot quantity, thus demands an active regen. This means it squirts diesel on the exhaust stroke to go into the exhaust to heat up the cat & burn off the soot in the DPF. This squirting of diesel into the cylinders allows some of the diesel to leak down past the piston rings & drop into the sump, causing the dilution.
Number of successful reservations :53248.
I assume you mean regenerations?
While it carries out active regens by squirting diesel. It also carries out passive regens if the exhaust temperature is high enough during normal driving. Thus the figure combined for passive & active regen's is much higher.
Incomplete regeneration status: 227.
These are regens that have started but haven't completed due to, say, the trip being too short to completely drop the soot level.
Diesel particulate filter soot concentration- inferred using differential pressure: 4.4
This is the soot value guessed by the sensor measuring the pressure in front of & behind the DPF.
4.4 is good. I can't remember the exact value when a regen is needed, but probably 18-22 ish (guess from memory).
Diesel particulate filter remaining volume: 0L
This is a value within the software which is a null value. i.e. it's never correct.Gary

Thanks Gary, that helps to configure and interprete my DPF Dashboard on the GAP tool
Its really worthy to check this frequently. Although I never had troubles up to now, I could see that I had a lot of not finalized regenerations. And that is strange because I dont use the car for short tracks.
May be a hind towards a defect Turbo or not. But one must control this really.
My Son archieved to damage DPF, then CAT and then finally the Turbocharger by clogging the DPF and ignoring the MIL Lamp. Very expensive

additional question
my GAP tool killed my configured dashbord for the engine and now I have problems to match the temperatur sensors in the exhaust with the right GAP channels. I have no list from GAP which channel is exactly for which sensor. The nomenclature in the Workshop manual is also different from GAP.
What is the right channel in the GAP IID Tool for:
Exhaust Temperature after DPF
Exhaust Temperature just after Turbocharger left bank. So the bank with the small Turbocharger
Its to monitor the regeneration process and by the way the Turbo charger temperature during normal operation
