Air compressor problem

Ukraine 2009 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial XS Auto Stornoway GreyDiscovery 3

The compressor feeds the air tank via the reservoir valve block, which in turn feeds the air bags on each strut. The reservoir valve block is located in front of the compressor on the chassis rail inside the acoustic covers.

The top of the air tank reservoir has a tendency to leak due to a build up of crud and detritus rotting through the thin mild steel.

Thanks alot for the pdf!
I'm actually gonna inspect the gas tank since I suspect it could be this thing that's making a mess.
I now know for a sure its a leak....

I took some pictures and couldnt see any leaks, but the compressor IS running the first 10 seconds when u turn on the car but still couldnt see any leaks.

Does anyone know how to change the aircompressor in JLR SDD?
I got it running and working but i dont know my way around the software.

It will run fine on the Hitachi firmware on a temporary basis. There are a few parameters that differ from the AMK unit, but if a fault occurs that's when damage to the AMK might occur. ie Compressor temp threshold exceeded, motor temp threshold exceeded, etc.

I've never used SDD, but so long as you do not leave it too long before updating I wouldn't worry too much about it. Judging by my own experiences there's a load of D3's happily running around on the wrong firmware! Rolling Eyes
