I completed an oil service on my 2015 D4. As I was inspecting the oil sump plug, I noticed a small metal pipe behind the sump. It was in two parts joined together by a rubber pipe. This pipe was very rusty and thought I better not poke it, just incase.
Does anyone know what pip this is and its purpose. I would like to replace it sooner rather than later. PS not my photo.
So this is the pipe and part number I am referring to. However, it is just the small bend of metal pipe that I have highlighted that is rusty. Trouble now is, where to source that small piece from. a New Vacuum return pipe is £150-£200 and no doubt be a pain to remove and refit.
