my stereo head unit part number is - AH2218C815AE , would stereo unit - AH2218C815AD be compatible ??
how can I find out what model numbers would be plug and play compatible with my vehicle please?

Yes they should be compatible. the ending of the part number on electronic equipment on LR is usually the manufacture year.
AD = 2014
AE = 2015 and so on
