This is actually very useful! (Although, I did have a laugh at a picture of the screen showing a fault with the FBH as evidence of a working FBH! Perhaps Webasto and LR have a lot in common! )
I've struggled with where the 800 hours idea comes from, as the thread quoted by NCC, where Spiderlane sorted his one out, showed a figure of 56797:221 for hours:mins. He followed this through to a three byte hexadecimal notation, where the 56797:221 converts to DD:DD:DD. But if you think about it, even if these figures came from the first D3 off the production line, that would work out at something like 10 hours a day! If you assume that they are actually minutes (despite what the WTT software says) you come out with a much more reasonable figure of 950 hours. Cross checking this with his start count of 2905 gives a running time of 20mins for each FBH start, which sounds about right - and certainly more believable than 20 hours per start!
Of course, in theory the maximum that the three hex coding could take would be FF:FF:FF which would be 65535 (1092 hours if my hours=mins theory is correct), but Spiderlane's clearly stopped earlier than that and was sorted by writing the code back to 00:00:00. So it looks as if the Webasto firmware was indeed programmed to go into a permanent fault mode at DD:DD:DD
So...my current theory is that the unit will max out at about 950 hours rather than the 800 that has been previously quoted. I'm now itching to get back home to the Windows laptop that has the WTT software and see what the actual figures on my one are! Previously:

Ok, so I've had a look at my FBH configuration on the WTT - and really didn't find what I was expecting. Trying to operate a laptop outside at -5C wasn't conducive to lingering, but the bottom line is that it is showing a Working Hours figure of 50:02. I was expecting it to be in the 50,000s! I really can't explain that. It seems pretty unlikely that the hours have been reset already and it is the original unit, with a build date in 2004. Hmmm....

It was working hours that Spiderlane reset on his, leaving operating hours untouched. But even my operating hours figure is really low in comparison to others that have been shown here. Again, it should be up in the 50 or 60 thousands for an 18 year-old car. Perhaps it went into a lock-out state very early on and was never re-set? It has an April '04 build date, so it seems to be all original.
My FBH only ran that one time and is now back to non-functioning. I've only seen it run on its own twice in the couple of months that I've had the car. Both times were on a more mild morning after a couple of cold days where I would have liked it to have been working. Not temperature related, though, as the first time was a 5C morning after a couple of -1C days, while this week it was a -3C morning after a number of -9C starts.
As an aside, I noticed that one of the settings on the WTT gives a burn limit of 255mins - which would equate to the expected full two-digit hexadecimal of F:F - but that's all academic if it won't pass the 1 min test! Previously:

I got my cable today. And had a look. At some point I managed to get the fbh to burn properly. Then I stopped it and couldn’t again. Keep getting 22h fault. Which I have found a few people say newboard. And others say just reprogramming the eprom fixed it. However I am struggling to follow the 2 vids I have found as they are not in English. Has anyone on here done this. And can they give a step by step guide to this? Many many thanks if you can help me .

And there was I smugly thinking how great it was the car being nice and toasty when we had the snow and ice a week ago. SWMBO nicked it two days as it saves 20 minutes demisting the Antara on commute to/from work, which was fine.
However, when I got it back on Thursday she'd managed to turn off all heating/aircon/fan ... which I only realised a mile down the road. But even back on, heat was poor ... and engine took ages to get to normal temp. But it was pretty cold.
Same on Friday so starting to think there's a problem.
So Saturday had a brief play and I think I'm also in same boat ... FBH works nicely when controlled by the Altox but isn't helping engine get to temp in normal use.
I'll pull the fuse later and see what happens. .

I'm with you on the detterrent effect that the weather has on doing anything out in the driveway! We were away with family for the weekend at a rented self-catering place and it was only when we got there that I discovered there was a huge, empty, modern garage with direct access from the house. If I had known we had that, I'd have brought the windows laptop so that I could interrogate the FBH and the dremel to cut off and replace my old rear suspension sensors. Previously:

Ok. Family crisis. So had to drive to wales yesterday afternoon
This morning I tried to call the heater with the Altox and its fired up
Starting to wonder if it is battery related. Mine is the one that Audi wrote off 4 years ago. That I stubbornly reused in the truck to prove a point. I think I be proved that point. But it might be my issue here.
Also. I think and I will check later. Weather permitting. The hour. I think it started with a 6….

Still cold and wet here,
but the FBH continues to work.
It was amazing getting into a warm car for our drive back home yesterday. It having sat all day at 0 degs (c) . Especially coming from a welsh 16century farm house , that feels like -5 even with the fires going
I will keep monitoring. I expect it to fail after a few days on short journey use.
