I've not used my IID tool for a month or so, and it was working fine then. Plugged it in today, tried to run the app and it keeps flashing unexpected error and giving the option of 'send bug report' or 'no'. It wont actually do either, as it just keeps flashing on and off again. I have to 'close all' on my phone to get rid of it.
The phone is a few years old - Samsung galaxy 4s. Its the same phone I've had for a few years, and never had a problem with it before.
I tried shutting down and re-starting, but it made no difference. I've also removed and re-installed the app twice, but its still doing the same thing. There is about 1.5GB space left of the 25GB available so its not a space issue as far as I know.
The error occurs before I even get as far as connecting, so I assume its a phone or app issue. Just wondered if there is currently a problem with the app, or whether anyone know what might be creating the problem. I've emailed GAP, but sometimes the hive mind knows too, or it might help someone next time. I cannot find any previous posts about app issues!
Many thanks

Hi,
I doubt I can help... But it would probably be helpful if you mentioned which phone software version, app version, IID tool version etc you are using

Phone is a Samsung galaxy 4s as mentioned already. I'v no idea how to see phone software version, but it was saying last updated July 23, and when I ran an update (after IID control not working today) it said I already had the latest.
The IID control app is the one that's on playstore today.
My IID tool is a BT G3. It was last updated about 3 months ago.
Is any of this of use? Can you tell me how to find anything else that might be needed?
Thank you

All working now - It was a fault at GAP which is now resolved!
Now I just need to set it up again after I deleted and reinstalled the app!
