Cabin temperature -windshield temperature sensors |
|
I know there are issues around cabin temperatures on the phase out models of the D4 and my car is booked into the dealers to look at the suspected faults as suggested by other forum contributors namely:
1. Recalibrate the flap mechanisms (stepper motors) in the HVAC system via the onboard OBD.
2. Remove the dash front panel to gain access to the cabin temperature sensor located behind the grille to the left of the steering wheel to see if the tube connecting the grille to the sensor is kinked.
3. Check to see if the tech bulletin LTB00963 has been initiated on my vehicle.
In anticipation of this work I connected up my IID Tool and checked the live values of the HVAC system and was surprised at the results of the windshield interior air temp (205 degrees c) and the windshield interior surface temp (148 degrees c)!!!!
Has anyone else with this heating problem had the windshield sensors checked? What should the live values range be???
