Pedal Lock
Due to the increase in thefts, I am considering a pedal lock in addition to my steering lock. Does anybody have first hand experience of these and recommendations of which type to buy?

Nowts getting through that without setting fire to your Disco while they are trying to cut it off.
I brought a cheapo boot-bag from Millets to pop it in so it can sit behind the drivers seat between trips.
One caveat, you need to slide it over the pedals from left to right but at the angle shown in the photo.
It comes with two stickers for your side windows to at least give a potential thief food for thought.Discovery 4 HSE late 2015 Euro6

With this pedal lock, you can probably do without the steering lock.
Just disable keyless entry if you haven't already.

Thanks for the excellent video Mr Ted.
I had an ‘ardcase Pedal lock on my 1959 Series II for several years, and I believe it was an excellent deterrent. I sold the Series a few months back, and the pedal lock with it.
I’ve just ordered the one in your video for my D4. Nothing really can deter the organised criminal gang (OCG) but any improvement to security these days has to be an unquestionable good idea.I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!

I can't see how you could cut the pedal lock off, even with battery grinder! If you were a locksmith you could pick the lock I'm sure, but you have to get in the car first. If you have disabled keyless entry and your key is in a faraday-pouch and you've double-clicked when you locked the car the only way in is to smash the window and crawl in head-first but as you've double clicked the lock they can't open the door from the inside so they'd have to go headfirst into the footwell for access to the pedal lock before addressing the ODB port, all whilst your alarm is going off...Discovery 4 HSE late 2015 Euro6

I have a TVL pedal box and had it for 3 years, it seem abit of a faff to put on and off but just becomes second nature now. Its build quality is brilliant and fits very easy. I’d definitely recommend them as I’m sure anyone wanting to steal the car would find that it wouldn’t be worth the hassle and noise if they were to get into the car.2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue
