Sat Nav- can I take out fuse 52?

Have an intermittent issue with my D3. Sat Nav screen keeps resetting onto the Landrover screen.... even if I turn off the screen.... daft question but can I just take out fuse 52 and leave it out as I don't use the sat nav etc? Wife also says that it came on after it was locked etc.... so a potential battery drain..... 🤔 Just not sure of implications if any taking fuse out permanently?? Cheers.

You will have no sound out your speakers.

You need to buy an orange optical fibre most loop off eBay/Amazon .
Less than £10

There is an optical fibre network called MOST. It runs in a ring between the radio, display, amp, traffic, bluetooth units. (where fitted)

If you remove power from one of the above devices, it no longer passes the messages on. THerefore the radio output will not get to the amp, and the speakers will be silent.

Therefore if you wish to remove power from the Nav display, you need to disconnect the orange MOST network from it, and bridge the connection with one of the below :

it may also be useful to point out that when the display has no MOST connection, it will be stuck on the LR logo and not display anything else, as it is not receiving any data. So pull the power plug out too

I see, so this just plugs into the empty space where fuse 52 would be?

Other issues with the radio too.... keeps saying either "phone connected" or "phone removed" every minute or so.

Also an error on CD2 saying there is a CD stuck and won't eject. No cds showing in the 6 cd circles..... Not sure if any of this is all linked.... 🤔

Thanks so much for your messages back 👍🏻

No. The orange loop goes behind the display
