I think i’m ok with mine, but the point is that even in a vehicle out of a LR Dealership there are no visible identification in either door card, end of & despite buying a replacement from a breaker with paper trail there’s still the ‘never know’ aspect, you can only go on what you’ve been told.
If/as/when the Police conclude their investigations & prosecutions sought, verdicts delivered anything prior is just speculation & that is the base line.
The weekend prior there were 4 Evokes taken within the space of 3 hrs, 2 teens (13 & 14) caught & bailed despite one of them being in a stolen vehicle when arrested…. big difference between allegedly & caught in the act.
A few months prior 2 Defenders found in containers at Sunderland docks, one buried under a pile of spuds, it’s rife & yet the sale of OBD readers/key starts etc continues 🤷♂️ but, pretty much like firearms it’s too late to stop that now, the tech is out there, it’s a vicious circle, the unfortunate thing is that even when found guilty there’s vert, very little deterrent.
If it’s not LR it will be something else 🤷♂️ not that long since I was involved in pulling a stolen Porche out of a quarry.
I’m not condoning anyone’s involvement by any means, just rather wait for things to be concluded. Paul.

3.5 years?!
Yup.
Car was parked August 2020.
Was sorned so I didn’t have to pay the road tax October 2020.
Car fell foul of a bad Glasgow based specialist who did the rather impressive job of giving me back a car with more faults than when I handed it to them.
So it will be nice to get my car back up and running properly.
Not the easiest task to bring a car back from the dead effectively.
