Could that be MDRS Automotive? They are the only specialist I know in the Consett area?
A quick Google Map of their premises shows an elevation that is remarkably similar to the photos in the OP. Which would suggest a link.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Are you able to remove it? Guess the police have it locked down at present…?

Not sure yet.
My mate who helped me get the car down is going to help bring it home.
Need to work around work shifts and see if I can get it.
Apparently they can still trade as the police have been and gone.
But I’m going to call next week.

Be shocked if they are involved in this. Real shame as they’ve got a great name for repairs etc.

I too hope not, I see no reason why they would need to get involved in stolen goods - they had plenty of work and several employees. Why put that at risk?
Any update today ? I've seen a discussion on FB where folks are singing their praises and looks like one chap is getting ready to send his car there.

Yup.
Yesterday morning I got a call from the garage owner.
We had a rather in depth and thorough discussion about what had happened, his side of the story as there is always two sides to a story.
I’m happy with his answers and the car is remaining at the garage for the final repairs which are being sorted this week and next.
My car is then getting trailered back to me.
He’s had a lot of work to do on mine as the car got parked up October 2020 after a Glasgow Clydebank specialist left it with more faults than it went in for.

Is it a misunderstanding on law enforcements part?
