Multipin type, manufacturer and retailer? For all loom plugs |
|
Hi all,
Long time since I posted, its been behaving very well!
Recently had recurring (3rd time) problems with front air suspension loom.
Mines a 2004, so the plugs where body loom joins chassis suspension loom is behind the n/s/f wheel arch liner.
Basically its put an orange or red light on for suspension and every time its a different bit of the front loom (connects 2x front level sensors and front valve block) thats got a break in a cable. Cue stripping back flexi conduit cover, locating wire, soldering in a new length and heat shrinking (with glue lined shrink) the repair.
Roll forward another year and repeat on a different wire.
Anyway, i've got it up on the ramp at the moment with all liners and trims off to do a handbrake module and general rustproofing session and thought, i'll replace the front loom whilst in there.
Looked on Landrover Classic parts and looms are available post 2006 for £113, but those looms are the ones that have the plugs in engine bay.
So looking to make my own. Can use the original plug housings, but need new pins and seals. Anyone know the spec/where to get them from? Have plenty of coloured cables in all the old lucas colours and various gauges in stock from making looms for some of my older LR and british classics, so its only the pins and seals thats stopping me making a loom.
