Hey guys fitted some deffender 20inch wheels to my disco 3 and you've guessed it's rubbing anyone else done this?
It's only minor rubbing on full lock, wondered if it's as easy as minor cutting or is it a big job to stop the rubbing?

Depends where it's rubbing.
If it's the back of the wheel arch where the end of the chassis rail is, then it's a big job to sort.
Have you tried them without the spacers?

Morning OP
What did you do in the end? I've just put some 20" Defender wheels on my D4 and got the exact same issue, rubbing on the chassis end, and that's without spacers.
Interested to know what you did to resolve it.

Quite simply they are too big. I've just fitted defender 18's with 255/70R18's and the rub on the chassis horns, having the correct size tyres fitted on Friday.

I'm trying to work out the maximum diameter of a wheel with it's tyre that would fit on a Discovery 4, without rubbing.
Using this web site: https://tiresize.com/comparison/
Does anyone know if 31" diameter using 255/55/20 would be too big?
In comparison 275/45/20s (and that comes to 29.7" diameter) did work okay without rubbing (I had them on my Disco 3 and they were the Defender Landmark alloys with Grabber AT3's.
thanks all.

I ran 295/45x20 grabbers on my D3 with no rubbing, but ride wasn’t great as at this width it tramlined quite a lot.
Best combo I found was 265/50x20’s
