ECU updates, do I need them?
I checked if any ECU's need updating yesterday, out of curiosity as only had the car a month, and had a few come back with updates available, would anyone know if these are recommended, or leave as is?

If it's not broken don't fix it. If the car is running fine I would leave well alone.

Cheers Flack, I usually agree , but I was wondering if anyone knew if the ones listed were worth doing and if they make any noticeable difference? I've only had it a month so want to play, as long as it doesn't it up.

There's a risk with updating as you could "brick" the car which is why the advice is to leave well enough alone.
If you decide to go ahead, read carefully the GAP IID instructions and understand them, as well as the risks before proceeding. Other than the MY07 IPC firmware update (clock on dash, three flash indicators) I'd leave it alone if you already have it! yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I have flashed a lot on D3/D4 never had any issuesproviding your battery is fully charged or you have good tool which can be used in supply mode like CTEK PRO25S or bigger.

Thanks for the replies.
I was wondering if there is a guide/list of what the updates are, to see if they're worth doing?Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales
