Replace dryer on Hitachi air compressor
Thanks to everyone who contributes advice and help on this forum. There are many here who share valuable experience.
I have a 2010 Discovery 4 with close to 200' km on the odometer.
Now I have problems with the air suspension and I suspect that it is the dryer on the Hitachi compressor that is clogged so that the compressor is struggling to get air in. The compressor takes an abnormally long time to fill the tank and it makes a bit of noise when it runs. My question is: Is it possible to replace just the dryer while the compressor is mounted in the bracket on the car by just loosening the one screw that holds the dryer and the two air pipes that go into the top of the dryer?
Appreciate all good advice. 😊

Dryer is secured using a single screw and rotated 90 degrees so with a stubby screw driver you can even replace it without removing the whole compressor from the car2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
