Slow starting and smell of diesel In the cabin UPDATE

Had the car checked for fuel leaks but given the all clear, but at intervals while drive I'm getting warm diesel smell in the car. It's not all the time, but on the next start the car cranks for a while before starting whereas previously it started instantly. Indie said the smell might be down to a dpf regen. Any thoughts please guys?[/u]

Mine did this. It was a faulty o ring where the leak off pipe clipped onto the top of one of the injectors.
I noticed it due to the oil pooling in the plastic around the injector.
Not enough to generate a fault on the code reader.
Best of luck.

Update.
I didn’t have time to have a look at this issue myself so dropped it off at my independent garage on Tuesday morning. Got a call yesterday to say that after much searching they found the leak was due to a small split in the metal fuel rail pipe. Problem I this part is expensive☹️
