Fue tank leaking

I noticed a smell of diesel yesterday, checked today and the tank cradle is wet with diesel at the rear, I filled it up for the first time last week. Does anyone know of any common leak areas on the tank - filler pipes.

They don't usually leak but check the rear rubber joint / clips from the filler pipe end to the tank. If there is diesel draining down the length of the filler pipe, then either the breather pipe is dislocated, or the filler itself is damaged.

To access the full pipe you will need to remove the wheel arch liner. The other possibility is the seal on the fuel pump cover assy is loose, and for that the tank has to be dropped to access.

Thank you, my next job is to remove the wheelarch liners, that’s if it ever stops raining long enough that is.
