Summer wheels…
Missing my F-Type convertible I set about sourcing a cheap’ish convertible. Avoiding stupid tax rate post 2005 was looking for ‘modern classic’ type every day usable vehicle. Open mind on what it could be so set off the internet trawl.
Was pleasantly surprised at how many great cars out there with tiny miles, low prices and great history.
Tried a few and early Merc’ SLK looked most likely until I came upon the one I bought.
One owner (but two on log book as husband bought it new in his name and transferred to wife for her birthday a week later ) full and comprehensive service history, 16k miles and truly immaculate (said to never have seen rain, look at the underneath ).
Cheap to insure, creamy smooth and powerful 3.5 V6, cheap(er) tax and looking forward to getting it next week
