OEM Roof Crossbar screws ?

Hi all.
does anyone on here know if there is a part number for the Hex head adjustment screws on the OEM roof bars ??
Or alternatively size / thread ?

Obviously made with a head of finest Chineseum. Laughing

(Why was the roof designed in such a way that you have to adjust the width of the rear bar every time to fit / remove it ?).

Thanks.

I have no quarrel with the shape of the roof line.
Walk in to any Thule shop and source the screw.

Thank You itsaguything.
I'm in UK.
So are the OEM (LR) roof bars made for LR by Thule ?

Hi Pete,
Like you I have replaced the original 3mm hex drive screws as they were getting chewed up. It is a countersunk m4/5 but I will check thread and length later today. I am sure I bought a handful at my local nuts and bolts supplier but will check if I have any leftover.

From a search on here they are M5x12 countersunk.

You can get Torx variant if you want to reduce the risk of stripping the head.

Correct Martin, with a 10mm countersunk head Thumbs Up

I purchased mine used from a forum member and the threads were corroded so there was a lot of strain on the hex head. Dab of grease on the new ones and no issues so far.
