SDV6 Engine Oil
About to buy another 20L drum of engine oil for my D4.
The Mannol oil on Ebay caught my eye at £52, are the specs suitable?

LR recommends 5W-30 so I don't think you'll see it listed by an oil manufacturer specifically. That said, there have been reports of South African based LR's documentation recommending 5W-40 due to the ambient temperature.
All in all, there seems to be some debate on the forum regarding it. Check LRTIME on youtube they have done this and other videos on the oil topic.
You'll ultimately have to make the decision yourself as it's unlikely to be manufacturer endorsed.

You can use the oil recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, or someone who makes a living giving controversial opinions on YouTube

2015my needs ACEA C1 5w-30 not C3 5w-40 just because it’s cheaper although it could be used in an extreme emergency to get home.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
