Side steps replacement

Hi, after 9 years of ownership, my OE Land Rover side steps have turned to weetabix. I think they were £700 fitted originally but hey ho. Google shows plenty of replacements for a wide range of costs and no doubt quality. What do people recommend to replace the original LR ones?

I have searched the threads but I cannot seem to find what I'm looking for - same fitment at the originals but decent quality. Not looking for rock sliders for example, these are for making it easier to get in and out.

Prepare yourself for a can of worms when you remove the sills - highly likely that you will find a huge rust problem as the steps trap a lot of debris.

I had to get some serious welding done to fix my D4 last year when my steps needed replacing. My local Indy sorted it all for me.

Thanks. Balls, will take mine off and see how things look. Recommendations still welcome.

These are pretty much rust proof. I’ve had them for 5 years and absolutely no corrosion.

Brilliant, thanks, have just bought some of these. I hope there are no horrors waiting for me when the old ones come off.

Fingers crossed. Maybe I was just unfortunate, or less than fastidious in my cleaning routine.

Best thing to replace side steps with is nothing at all.

The Devils accessory as far as I'm concerned.

Perhaps they looked good in the 1990's on a Shogun.
Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

I’ve had my fair share of LR side steps and they rust underneath.

I was sceptical there was anything out there that could do the job without giving me grief. These ones are as close to perfection as I’ve had. They seem to be vulcanised underneath. No negatives tbh.
