Air Suspension Not Suspected Leaky Airbag Comp/Valve Blocks? |
|
My Disco 3 ran great, then I hit some flood water - cracked down pipe (replaced), wheel alignment showed as off (corrected through diagnostic), and front driver-side suspension lowering over night.
Long story short, friend works for AA, thorough check with stethoscope, certain it’s not an airbag leak, but air leaking back into system (value?), anyhow, after a long journey from IOW to Lake District, compressor failed.
My question is, anyone had the not airbag leak/air leaking back to system issue? And any recommendations on compressor to buy/valve blocks? eBay?
Thanks
Barrie

I have rebuild compressor which is easy instead of buying brand new unit and costec 40 quid
simple thing to do is to mix up some washing up liquid with water and spray it all over place where AES parts sit to indentify a leak
common issue i notice also is AES muffler which also tend to leak air
in most cases vlave blocks can also be easily rebuild to seal them up
I have replaced front shocks due to corrosion which was even dangerous to look at now floating on Arnott shock silky smooth
good luck
