Need help - no power on take up

I have a 2.7 V6 on a 2006 reg. I have no power on take up. We drove it back from my cancer treatment's, in liverpool about 32 miles home. If you touch the foot brake black smoke came out of the back then it picked up. Any help would be appreciated. I'm disabled with a spinal cord injury, so mobility is not that good. Had the map cleaned still no joy.

Hi

Really sorry ur having such a hard time , hope the situation improves for u

It sounds like as u look at the engine the left hand side intercooler hose may have a split in it , can get black smoke as a result

Would also be good for the map sensor that sits on top of the throttle body to be checked and cleaned if required

Maybe someone is near u that can give u a hand, maybe do an EGR blank at the same time , leaving the egr pipes in situ for the mot inspection

Hope that helps and all the best to ur health getting better
