Transmission Fault, Hdc and park brake fault

Hi all,
Recently picked up a 09 disco 3 auto 2.7 and I'm starting to wish I hadn't!
Keep getting an intermittent fault which brings up Transmission fault with limited gears available, park brake fault and hill decent control and special programs off. I understand that this is a very common issue and just want some guidance to make sure I'm looking in the right places.
Battery and alternator are both fine. All brake lights seem to be working too.
I've had it plugged in, cleared the codes and re scanned and these are what it brought up. VIN: SALLAAA138A487506
L319 - Discovery 3 2008

Am I right in thinking the egr fault can causes these issues? The park brake does not work as well but not sure if it would be related.

Thanks in advance!

A dodgy battery or connection can cause these. Even though you checked the battery was it at 12.4 or above when the engine is not running and 14+ when running?

Hi Tubb, how are you progressing with finding the problem cause? Did the suggestion from Globetrotter help?

I had just experienced the same faults (transmission fault/HDC and park break fault). It happend when I coupled my trailer behind the D3 2.7. My trailer is not the best and shakes quite havily above 70 kph, that's also the point when the faults came up. Don't know if it has something to do with eachother and have to look further into it.
