Hole in airline??

I discovered this hole in a black hose behind the compressor in the NSR wheel arch.

I tried to find a parts diagram that might reveal whether this an airline or a breather hose but struggled to identify it.

Can anyone identify what it is?

Cheers,

I would say that a connector fitted where the hole is would fix it but that looks a bit close to a fitting. What’s that fitting?

I am not really sure. I'll have to investigate further. I thought it odd that there was a hole there tbh.

You'll need to cut a piece of that pipe out so that you only only have the one join.

I set the height to normal, pulled the 5A fuse from the engine fuse box and left it over night.

I Measured beforehand - one side was a couple of cm lower than the other but overnight there was no change. So I assume there is no leak.

Is that pipe likely to be an exhaust hose?

So, I'm not an expert, and the angle of pic is throwing me, but ... I think the usual culprit in that area is for the handbrake cable to rub through the Compressor air inlet line. Happens when the handbrake metal guide clip (on lower arm) wears / breaks?

Yes, you are spot on. The rear brake like is exactly in line with the hole.

I'll see if I can find the part number - you wouldn't happen to know it??

Cheers.
