LR3 won't start, hazards flashing |
|
I went to use my 2005 LR3 today but it would not start. When I would turn the key the car would do it's normal health check, but the door locks would try to unlock twice, the hazard lights were constantly flashing and the external temperature on the display is showing as 3 lines (---). When I turned the key to start the engine it would not turn over.
I checked with the GAP tool and there was multiple errors, tried clearing them but some returned. The errors that are still there are at the bottom of the post. I did some research and found out about the hard reset. I did that but no success. Any ideas what else I could do?

Hi fusion,
Had similar as described...hazards...doors unlock...will not start...
Turned ou to be three connectors, at passengers foot well, behind triangle plastic cover...where you open bonnet from.
Thanks.

Thank you. I'll try disconnecting and reconnecting them in the morning.

Hiya. I had this earlier. Got out, closed the door and locked/unlocked and then it was OK.
I'm sure it'll happen again. Are the connectors under the carpet?

Hi fusion
Just wondering
Was it just a matter of disconnect and reconnect the 3 blocks and your problem was solved
I have something similar going on but mine happens after 3 minutes when I start up ,indicators flashing door locks clicking and temp gauge showing - - - tried your fix but didn’t work
We’re there two grey and one green connecter .

I didn't even have to disconnect the cables. I just pushed them into their sockets.

Yes fixed it
Nothing to do with faults shown on diagnostic or loose connecter connections etc.spent a month trying everything turns out it was the instrument cluster (over time the lead substitute they used on the cluster circuit board breaks down impossible to fix) Apple iMacs had the same issue’s
Replaced dashboard cluster complete unit €1100 reprogrammed to match old one milage etc,
First i Tried second hand one (from uk company cost €500 )no good ,could not program it to my LR ,they said it would ,no refund .
Absolute nightmare scenario
There’s alot of misinformation on these sites can send you off on a wild goose chase
Touch wood all good since
