2015 D4 Service Interval Not Reset & Oil Dilution 100 Issue

Hoping somebody may be able to shed some light on a bizarre service indicator issue.

I recently changed the oil and filter on my D4 SDV6 diesel. Mid year interval service as per general recommendation, service required message showing. All fine with mechanical aspects & reset the service indicator with IID tool.

However, noticed immediately that 'distance to next service' remained at 0 after the reset, even though 'distance since last service' reset to 0. And, not unexpectedly, the service required message came up again after a few ignition cycles.

Tried a couple more resets, via both IID and 'brake & accelerator pedal' method (both apparently successful), but the problem persists.

I have subsequently noticed the 'oil in fuel dilution factor' is reading impossibly high at 100, where it was 7.10 before service. Feels like an ECU may be have got confused?

Thanks

Are you letting the car go to sleep fully after the resets before checking again. Also do a full reset with the tool and see if that helps.

Flack Thumbs Up

Thanks Flack. I tried the procedures again a couple of time yesterday including the vehicle reset but no difference come today unfortunately, the message returns.

I have approached GAP to see if they can help.
