The waters not even blue, just grey.
No sun.
Shorts and T-shirt weather?
I guess its fun in GB when its not drizzling. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.
Audi TT Roadster (Daily and around town drive)
VW Eos TDI For Sale
Previously 01 TD5 and 94 TDI
Above is one of the launch pictures. She is now much better looking in blue/cream.
I had similar misgivings about the look of the bow, but here is what the builders had to say:
The bow is far more than a styling element alone. Its unconventional shape is designed to slice through the waves and help ****** attain a top speed over 25 knots, an astonishing feat for a yacht of this magnitude. Other speed-related features of the project include the low weight combined with the great strength of a longitudinal-framed steel hull, which was achieved by the most stringent weight-watching program. Four MTU diesels offered a fearsome combined power in excess of 23,000 horsepower.
Standing on the bridge you don't actually notice anything strange out front. Also makes it an easy yacht to find when you get back to the marina after a heavy night at the casino....... 8)The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Firstly, this was a river launch. Also, it's not in GB. Was 25deg and glorious blue sky/water over the week-end. I may post a pic or two later..... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Ah, Tom Perkins boat, she is for sale (the blue one) if you fancy DSL?
As to JMC's beats, there are a few pilots running around in German waters in boats that shape, so well proven end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Having discussed boats over the weekend, it was decided that as we live 1 mile from the Canal but 81 miles from the coast we would get more use out of a River Cruiser thing. Does anyone know anything about these?

I thought JMC's boat must have rolled over at the shipyard but they just kept building hoping the new owner wouldn't notice!
Maltese Falcon is way out of my price range, mind you this guy is wondering if the repayments would be within budget!
Some of the other yachts I have had to deal with for a few years now. Customers can be very demanding It's a tough life you know....... when they ask you to appear on their floating homes in the med for a spot of 'work'......

Depends on what you want to do, i.e sleep on it, cook on board etc. They sell a lot of my boats for the river with only 10-20hp engines on. You normally are restricted in speed, so it doesn't make sense to have a huge engine, but also you don't want anything too small which will be screaming to push along a boat that is too heavy. They also fit a coarse pitch propellor to keep the rev's down as you are not looking for acceleration onto the plane.
I have no idea on the rules, but on inland waterways I think you might need a safety certificate, which covers the fuel installation, use of gas cookers etc.
