On the light switch ..pull outwards once for front and pull outwards twice for rears..
Unfortunatly you cannot just have the rears on.
Manual can be downloaded from here http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree2viewlrprod/index.jsp G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

All the lights including both sets of fogs are operated by the same switch.
Go and have a play with it and tell us your findings!

Oh and don't forget to move the switch away from "Auto" before pulling it.

unless you have the driving lamps too, then they come on via an other switch
(fog lamps still by pulling the main switch)

If the cables are at the rear of the switch can this be rewired so the first pull is rear fogs and second pull is front (both ) fogs, Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

But why would you want to?
Front fogs are annoying enough with half the idiots on our roads using them as a fashion accessory, rear ones are even worse as they get put on at the merest hint of a touch of mist then get left on for months glaring at everyone following them. Seems to me that most of the time 'reduced visibility' is what is caused by them rather then when they should be used The End

Well I use them properly!
On motorways during heavy spray and I always judge weather they are required or not.
I just don't see the point of having the fronts on in this situation.

What a debate i have created. Thanks for the answer i did in the end work out that you cant switch the fogs on when the light switch is set to auto only when lights set to on.
Thanks for all the replies great site.
Hopefully i will soon be able to help others. You can never have too many toys...

...trying to get the fog lights on without the main beams ???
as per the current trend to look cool driving with front fogs on......??
in some parts of the UK you would end up with a ticket (Northern Ireland for one)....quite rightly!!!
Best one one I saw yesterday was a guy driving in full broad daylight - bright sunlight - shades on + foglights
you started one

I cannot understand how poeple can drive with "forgotten" fgo lights (rear or Front)...
There is a light on your dashboard which tells you that there is something on!!!
I suppose they don t look at the dashboard!!! Arno

Also... I think the operative word in 'fog light' is... FOG
You only need a light shower and some people think it's a good idea to use fog lights....NOT As you slide down the banister of life
