Annoying noises inside cabin |
|
While doing my research on noises I hear in my car (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic11047.html)
I also recorded other annoying sounds.
Here is the noise that some climate control valve is making everytime you turn motor on
(or when you manually turn on/off the AC).
http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...enoise.wav
In the sample I have swithced the AC on and off several times.
Does anyone have cure for this? Service tried but without success.
Second one is rattle/resonance that now has become constant and can be heard when driving
fixed 50km/h speed.

That comes from the middle top of the dashboard nect to the windscreen. It is not the mid speaker but something beneath the dash surface. How to eliminate this?

So does mine. I can live with it providing it does not start to do it all the time.

I also have the climate control noise. Only started after the 48k service. I would be very interested in finding the cure. 06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

It's the flexible seal on the recirculation flap dragging on the sides of the air inlet ducting - no LR cure as yet although a blast of silicon spray upwards from the air filter position should help...

Can't give details all I know is that they removed the centre console cover to do it. They showed me the old valve that came out,a fairly small plastic valve with a lever attached. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

from what I understand, the material on an arm has been changed but is still a major to replace.

Thought I was going mad, so 'glad' to see others are hearing the AC fart noise. Mine's at the stealers in 2 weeks and its on their list to do.

for the dash rattle --- i had something similar and I was sure that it was coming from the top-middle dash but could not pin-point it. My wife located it to the sun-visor that had not been clipped completely home. Now I have blissful silence again Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap

Spooky that - mine's got that too and going in for it at the same time as the AC fart. But mine needs a new inner bracket cos it doesn't hold it in place tightly when its 'partly' open (ie. almost, but not quite, tight up to the windscreen).

Annoying noises in my cabin:
(1) SWMBO wanting my opinion when I'm trying to drive.
(2) The boy performing a technicolor barf ("I did it ALL OVER YOUR CAR, DADDY", he said).
(3) The girl playing squeaky noises with a balloon. It's worse than fingernails down a blackboard.
(4) Take That on the CD player. They've just reformed, apparently, and the ladies can't get enough of it. My Pink Floyd discs seem to have gone missing.
Solution to all of the above: open all windows, press right foot hard.
