Right,
Have ordered this lot from knights electrocom, hopefully the mount can be fixed into the guttering with the cable run through as per XTCs recomendations.
Ill let you know when it turns up tomorrow!

Richard - thanks for detailed answer and piccys 
That looks like the best solution, I will have to give that a go, perhaps combining it with ripping out the side trim to feed power back from the new split charge and second battery. Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

Recently bought 4 x M13 marine quality stainless dome nuts using 1 of these to finish off my aerial roof mount.
Happy to supply the remaining 3 post free (when I'm back from France) to whoever needs one for a £1.00p per nut donation to site funds.
