Happened a couple of times - and again yesterday. Radio in D3 becomes totally uncontrolable and remains on even with ignition off and keys out. Volume and all other controls non responsive (with ignition on and off).
Radio remained on throughout the night and this morning when I turned on ignition went back to normal.
Any advise ? Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Mine's not so bad but the volume control does have a mind of its own. After I turn the radio on again the volume is much louder than when I truned it off. It is also irritating that I have to wait a few seconds before the volume is adjustable.
I also find the clock loses a lot of time (about a minute a week).

You need to remap your ECU

Deon.
I have read about this in other threads and aparently there are known issues with the radio in the S model (SE and HSE all have different head units).

Now that triggers another idea - can one not incorporate Baben's TT box with the radio and change the power settings on the steering while driving Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

My SE ICE, which is the same as the S model (I'm sure), has now taken to not switching on .
Past few weeks it's done the "silent when source changed" thing........what next !
Have to turn ignition on and off to promt it into life.........Dealer visit at this rate..
HSE Hi ICE faults too ; Mr Andrew reports(page 2) http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic21657-15.html

Had issue's with my volume control on a S spec radio and when it went into the dealers for a suspension fix on Wednesday, they said they knew what the problem was and uploaded some new software which apparently fixes the problem.
Has been working OK today, so hopefully it has.

Deon & Heine:
Please remember your manners and pass on a bit of whatever you are smoking
It is a good idea though......(what was in my rice kripsies this morning....what am I thinking....)
\\On a serious note - you won't believe how often I am asked for an option where a user can turn on and off the remap whislt driving.
On my BM there is a power button that you have to push to get the full 500HP - this drives me absolutely batty, I mean, I bought 500HP didn't I? Why the would I ever want less than 500HP? Am I not intelligent enough to use the throttle to control the torque to the wheels instead of needing an idiot-proof button to keep me out of the weeds?
