Discocuzzys Christmas tour
Hi Guys,
Hope you are all well.
Just a quick post...im traveling to SA to stay with my father in law , (Santon, Joburgh) for Christmas and was thinking of hiring a defender/D3 to go off the beaten track...quick question..any clubs/D3 members fancy a trip out?
Also any tips on hiring etc.
Lastly would be great to meet some of you guys whilst im over...anyone for a braai and a few castles
Obviously a long way off but would realy welcome feedback on the car hire front
Cheers

After the weekly diesel price increase lat night
will have to bulk store diesel for future trips - BTW is there any regulation around storing fuel
December get together/trip will be great - anything far off will probably require booking. I have a place next to the Vaalriver - very close to Berakha 4X4 course which we can use as a suggestion.Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Not sure if there is a limit to how much you can store . But remember diesel will go "off" after a while
Main consideration when storing large amounts of fuel isn't government regs or quality deterioration. It's security I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

RE Diesel storage.
6 months at elevated temperatures and about a year at 20 degC according to this BP Paper
An example in the article shows rental for fully equiped Defender between R13 300 and R15 400 for two weeks, depending on season.Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
