My 2005 V8 HSE Aus delivery has started giving me fault code (actually 3 in quick succession) after a year of no trouble. the codes upon startup go like this. First "Transmission fault", then "HDC inoperative", then "Cruise Control not permitted". this has come right out of the blue so i believe the three faults are connected to each other in some way. with all of this the air suspension wont lift from the Access height - a real pain. have to stop the whole show and then quickly get it lifted manually before the faul recurrs. i have lost all credibility with SWMBO as i coerced her into this LR having had a Series 2 V8 ES lemon model..... now this one supposedly a "clean sheet of paper design so cant be afflicted with the old LR issues" seems to not be the case. all servicing is up to date and its in with the dealer now. i hope to hear positive news tomorrow.
Any clues form anyone gladly appreciated.

Hi Crispy,
Check the battery out - I had the same faults and it was traced to the battery; it was not holding its charge and even a dealer bench charge couldnt sort it. Battery was changed under warranty. Might be a starting point for you.

Hmmm, thanks for that suggestion. I hope it's truly as simple as that. will update if I have news tomorrow. If it is that I hope the battery is a warrantable item for me.
Thanks and regards... '05 D3 HSE V8, Zambezi

Crispy - mine had the same symptoms - in with the dealer today - they informed me that its was a faulty relay - no stock so swapped out relay with that from rear demister. Picking up the car tomorrow so will let you know if the relay was the cure?

Crispy - had the same exact thing happen when I plugged in an incorrectly wired trailer. About 30 secs after turning on the headlights had all this happen. Jim Dowell - D4 HSE TDi, 12,000 hydraulic winch & hidden winch mount, MTRs, TyreDog, Traxide 2 x aux battery system, fixed air compressor, Dolium roof rack, MitchHitch.
