Anyone heading to the Red Centre in July? I'm departing Adelaide Fri July 4 via Oonadatta, Dalhousie, Finke, Alice, Kings Cnyon, Uluryu, Cooper Pedy, arrive back 18 July. I'll be the odd one out with a bunch of Adelaide Jeep Club members (I've packed the recovery gear ). Hope I run into some Disco's out there! Yep, we shall be going into the red center with the school...
Below outlines what we are doing..
This 20-day 6500+ km safari has been carefully planned so as to visit all major attractions of Far West Queensland, the East and West MacDonald Ranges, Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru and more. We will visit many spectacular National Parks plus some little-visited areas such the Finke River and Boggy Hole.
Our return journey will be over the magnificent Simpson Desert traveling west to East into Birdsville. A detailed proposed itinerary is available in the portals under the Activities > Red Centre Safari.
I will post the itinerary soon.

Well Mr. Hamster, we know who will be most refreshed at the end of the day
Just remember, when the others are complaining about the rough tracks, agree, or they might be jealous

With the natural gas shortage here a lot of the industries are running diesel generators and sucking up huge quantities of diesel fuel. You may find that having the V8 may mean you're the only one able to get any fuel at all (or at least the way things are going, diesel will be 60c/litre more expensive). Isn't life sweet?
