coverage of DVD satnav maps - Iceland |

does the maps of the latest dvd cover iceland??
if so at what detail??
down to F road detail?

There are unfortunately no maps at all for Iceland for the D3... You will need a garmin or something similar. The LRE chappies out there at the moment are using Garmin, I can find out which maps if that helps

my ferry is on the 20th - 3 days in Faeroes then onto Iceland

btw .. is there any similar garmin maps for the Faroes????
... ive ordered a 278 today
i received my annual bonus award letter which was vvvvvvvery nice indeed ... hence my celebration!

issues on 276/278 and iceland maps |

just in case some else has issues with the maps in this thread
they do work and work well ....
some tips!
in mapsource you must use "click n hold left mouse" and then drag the pointer selecting all maps ....
you should have 12 in total
N,S,E,W + west fjords and highlands - plus same for each again with contour data - so 12 total
map size total ... just over 5mb
you dont need any topo map product installed or unlocked
just the standard mapsource and city navigator for example
if you follow this you should have no issues
ohh the map is not routable ... but probably in iceland this really does not matter so much!!
