First Impressions

I collected my TDv6 HSE last tuesday. Black with beige interior. Fabulous looks and awesome drive. Done over 1300 miles this past week, mainly motorway crusing, averaging 23.9 MPG. Small niggles :- 3 of the rear headphone outlets dont appear to be working, the CD player appears to be running all the time, even when switched off. If key is not in ignition you can swith radio/cd on but cannot turn it off again. These are only small points and it is going back to the dealer on Thursday for investigation, I assume that they are software glitches. Can somebody tell me how to allow full satnav control when driving. I accessed the diagnostics menu as previously posted but didnt seem to be able to find what I was looking for.

Andy, You say you cannot turn off your radio after you have removed the key, I was wondering if it switches itself off after an hour or so.

Reason I ask is to do with many other post on here about the fuel burning heater, where we have all found that the only way to make it work is to leave the radio on with the key out! the only problem being it switches off automatically after an hour.

Do you have the Cabin Pre-Heat option in your settings menu? Land Rover are threatening to remove it from our early production vehicles, and we are not too happy. We want them to make it work properly.

Gareth mate... please don't say 'Settings Menu'... it really narks me that I have the ONLY DISCO3 that has NO Settings menu !

I would love to take part in the FBH testing / debate but I cannot... Wink

Awww sorry mate, did'nt want to upset you.

The irony is; we've got too much and they want to take it away - you have not got enough, and they won't give it too you!

Cake and eat it or what eh Razz

Thanks for the info. After reading the other thread, I think that the CD issue is related to the rear controls, my problem is that the rear controls don't work, apart from one, if you connect headphones. I don't know if the radio turns off after an hour, I will test and let you know. With regards to the cabin pre heat, yes I do have the option under the settings menu, but haven't played with it yet.Once again many thanks.
