So how do I connect to it? I thought the side window arials were FM one side, MW the other.

Alan, you need the aerial amplifier(s).. i'll post part numbers if I can find them
<edited to add> XUC000080 or XUO000060 are the part numbers for the PAL TV amplifier / isolator , it uses up to four of these connected to a TV tuner module (XRA500051), which is in turn connected to the MOST bus for the audio and a coaxial cable for the video... after that, you're on your own Wink

Well I think I understood most of that. So as I've got the TV tuner in my DVD player (with PAL/NTSC/SECAM formats), the arial input I need is just standard co-ax (like you would get on the back of a DIN sized stereo). Does one of these arial\amps you list give me that sort of output.

cheers

I've not got access to the specification, but I would assume that it provides a connection to the printed aerial (with a bit of soldering) and provides a wideband UHF output

Thanks for the info. I've had a look at the parts you suggest, and the 4 amps attach to the filaments in the glass (at £25 each), and then to the tuner unit (which I didn't price up), so its starting to get pricy. I can get a alpine diversity arial set for approx £99, so it looks like I'll try this.

cheers

Al, you don't need all four for UK use, the aerial elements are different for other countries, not checked (yet) but I thing just one amplifier is needed for UK

Just spotted what I think is an early implementation of a Sat. TV option for the Disco 3...

In the end, I didn't bother with the standard in glass window arials, as you need to remove the side panel trim to fit the amps, then connect to a tuner (and LR use "non standard" connectors), and it was all too much hassle. I think (and will probably be corrected) that the LR arials and amps are just for anologue.

I just fitted a diversity arial on the inside of the glass. Works fine for the ammount of time I'll use it. A few of the ICE guys I spoke to said the only good pictures they'd ever seen (even digital) needed an external arial.
