Hi Skye....., I have done about 16,000 miles on my ATs both on and off road, and they look set for the same again. They will give you a good level of grip in all weather conditions and road surfaces except hitting standing water faster than you should. Noise level is slightly up on a Scorpion, Wrangler road type. Some say ypu will drop 1 or 2 mpg, I get 24.3 most of the time but I don't drive for economy but to get there and back.

Hi Donald,
Thanks for that. THanks also to all others for thoughts and suggestions.
Sounds like the AT'2 it will be. They cannot be any worse than the life of the Scorpions!

15,000 - 20,000 miles from tyres....thats really bad, cant believe anyone would put up with that, uneven wearing or not.
Always fitted BFG's to my vehicles and expect 80,000 - 100,000 miles. If you monitor tyre pressures and rotate around the car then no problem.

United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

13500 on the front and almost worn out Shocked
My wife and 4 kids don't drive fast, brake hard or corner quick. We don't tow and the car has done at least 3000 miles of that amount on the motorway. Big Cry
I have an Audi S4 Avant and can get as many miles from the tyres on that with double the HP and plenty of right foot driving. Confused
Rears have around 4k left I would think.

Regards Paul

England 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Metropolis LE Auto Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

the metropolis went into dealer for 2yr service today. Pointed out that it may need new boots, and front inner edge worn very badly on offside. Suggested they take a look at susp. And steering. Got a call to say it needs steering arms replaced under warranty. Did say they could not cover cost of new p zeros. Only fair really as they have done 26k miles!
