Hello Guys,
We've had our new D3 for a week now. Wow, is great! I must say leaving the 90 at the dealer was a very sad moment.
Coming from a Defender the Disco3 site was a revelation. My friend Louis put me onto it. It was nice to find the same kind of enthusiasm the Defender family has. I read most of the topic threads to find out as much as possible before getting the vehicle.
In my opinion the guys on this site have a much greater knowledge of the car than the dealerships.
We bought the car from Centurion with great service. I had the AT2 tyres fitted as well as dual battery, Mantec plate and VPS.(After reading all about those on this site.) The only snag was a scratch on the bonnet and the screen of the back sunroof is not retracting. That will be fixed in the coming week.
It's the MY09 spec. I like the new colour coding.(I added photos.)Prev: Defender 90 TD5
Now: D3 MY09 TDV6 SE, Mantec plate,Dual Battery,VPS,AT2's

Looks really good welcome.
Whats this about the back sunroof not opening Is this opening rear roof a new my09 feature?, or have you not realised that the glass roof is a one piece jobbie, and only the front roof opens. Mine is an 04 HSE on which only the front roof opens, so forgive me if I am mistaken.
EDIT just re-read and realised you are talking about the sunshade My apologies

Hello Jan, and welcome to the forum.
Beautiful vehicle. In my opinion the D3 looks great in very dark colours or plain white. I suppose white would be the most practical for our climate, as proved by mythbusters.
The changes to the old spec are quite striking. Not sure I am a fan of the body-colour wheelarches & bumper from a practical perspective - they look great, but scratches might make you cry once you get into the bush. Did you manage to get VPS onto those bits?
