| Pressures in Grabber AT2's |

Good Morning all,
I have taken the plunge ,after advice and comments on the site ,and fitted 4 -Grabber AT 2's as the replacement set for the worn out at 15000. Scorpion Zeros. 255 60 R18.
Fitted at Dingwall Tyres in the Highlands. Very efficient crew and good prices for up here!
What pressures do you folks suggest for normal road wear? They have set them at 32 all round.
Hope that will outlast the Zeros by a good few thousand miles.

Suggest you try normal pressures for on road, 32's too low The End

I have mine at 42 rear and 33 front which seems OK. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

just checked mine last night and put 33 in front and 36psi in rears, that's for me the misses and 2 kids. Welcome to the Global Warming Corner.

I've been running on AT2's for the last 35K miles and use the standard LR specified pressures on and off road with no issues  LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Does the tyre size affect the decision?
I am running 265/65/17 AT2's and put 34 in the front and 38 in the rears, it handles OK but I burst a front one off-roading and wonder if the higher pressure could have contributed to this? 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I suspect a rock or sharp stick would have had more to do with it than the pressure 
I ran my AT2s a couple of PSI higher than standard and it improved ride and handling no end. Offroad I ran them a bit lower than standard. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

It was a sharp piece of scrap metal 
Was just wondering if a lower pressured tyre would have flexed more and thus prevented the sidewall being punctured? Probably not, just a thought. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

It's usually the opposite Andy.
When I'm out playing around here, the terrain is very rocky and the accepted practise is to up the pressure to around 38/42 'ish to prevent the sidewall and tread flexing around sharp rocks (and therefore allowing them to penetrate the tyre). Higher pressures tend to push the rocks out of the way (or slide the D3 away from them).
I've been out and about it groups and most of the people who get punctures have been running the standard tyre pressures. Not very exact statistics, but it might help you
Of course, in slippy conditions (mud/snow/sand) the best idea is to lower the pressure, but for rocky/hard terrain up them a little. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Running mine at 32 front and 35 rear, except when fully laden go to 42 rear. Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.
