HTC Advantage PDA type thingy |
|
Work has been kind and I have a new HTC Advantage with 3G card installed.
It comes with a built in GPS. The keyboard is detatchable, all in all its great!
Why am I telling D3 owners this????
Cos with the keyboard removed it is a perfect fit for the gap in the dash where an 'official' dealer fitted SATNAV would fit. The GPS works fine, TOmTom is clear as a bell, and it looks great!
Google earth runs really well.
If you are looking for a PDA, this one will save you buying a seperate STNAV
Happy days

hi,
have been using an HTC p3600i [500 MHz Samsung cpu] with gps since august 07,
it has tomtom [joanna lumley] voice control, ms office etc
the bluetooth works simultaneously [blue ant]
the unit sits nicely next to the air vent next to the central cavity where the 7" screen should be
[lots of useful real estate still available]
out of the car it sits neatly in my shirt top pocket
no fuss, no bother, no "wiggsian" mods ;^)
I aggree the HTC units make a very good alternative but you can't fit a reversing camera to it :^( [yet] +======
