Does anyone know if these exist for the D3? It's a roof mounted light bar.
This one is from Cheviot 4x4 but is only for the D1.
(I'm looking at different options for roof-mounted driving lights where I don't need to have a roof rack permanently attached or a half-rack).
Thanks. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Anybody with, or who knows a company that does tube manipulation should be able to make one, The front Expo rack mount should be robust enough, failing that the short front Rhino rack rails could be adapted.
The D1 light mounts I have seen are pretty basic, with 4 self tappers through the gutter.

The problem would be mounting one of these as there's no gutter rail on the D3. You'd have to drill the roof and fit rivnuts to mount it, but you may find you need extra structual strenght to stop panel fracturing. This would mean dropping the headlining
No need to drill the roof, front rack mount points plus a bar to the roof rails to steady it should be enough, was thinking of something similar myself ages ago before I went off roof lightsThe End

As Slimer says, if you have Xenons and decent driving lights then rack lights really are purely a cosmetic thing on the D3 as you get no additional lighting benefit from having them attached.

Well that answers that one...I'm not going that far...
Driving lights it will have to be (and maybe something on a roof rack if I end up with a full length one). The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

But you must admit...Ken's (ex)D3 does look 8) with those lights...The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

from that pic when it was in Kens hands to now it looks soooooooooooooooooo naked.
Wilma is in good hands now, whether its retirement or not we will have to see, but at a guess Wilma will rise like a Pheonix, well it may do if the vultures park near it at a SE meet, Stu will happily repossess the bits
