Vehicle warranty claim history |
|
Recently went to LR dealer to go and check out the so-called TSB on the diesel pump re-call. They did a "warranty claim and outstanding re-call history" on my vehicle. The only thing recorded is the EPB adjustment I had done recently.
No mention of 2 fuel filters replaced, spare wheel lowering mechanism replaced, horn replaced, radio control unit replaced, CD player replaced, gearbox control unit replaced and plenty of "software downloads and patches". Surely all the spare parts and labour cost the dealers and they need to be re-imbursed.
What mostly bothers me is that if these claims are not properly recorded it will create a wrong (albeit more positive) perception of the reliability of this vehicle Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
Defender TD5 110 CSW '00. "With everything"

Deon,
It sounds like you got a Monday car.
My last Defender fell into that Category too, but was assembled in Rosslyn, which makes every second day a Monday. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
