I've been searching for some LED lights I noticed in someones modification programme. Now I can't find the sodding things. I thought it was in Wigggs mega upgrade post but it's not there.
Anyone remember it? It wasn't that long ago either. It may be a link within a specific post, Just not sure now. HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

I think it was you but can't be sure. It was strip lights that you'd wired into the rear cargo area that dimmed with the interior set. I've had another search and trawl lastnight but didn't see anything.
Many thanks HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Had a quick look but couldn't see anything. I was after the link to the shop/site he purchased them from. They seem a very neat way of doing it. Have seen a few other LED strips but they don't look that neat. HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

wiggs wrote:Ok fitted my new L.E.D lights as reccomended by XTC
New lights - 2 x 300mm ones
A small push on/off button as i wanted to be able to turn them on and off seperate from interior lights.
Drilled a small hole in the right hand side cubby for the switch..no worries when i sell the car , just put a small rubber blanking gromet in there to fill the hole.
Switch fitted. No need to remove the cubby surround , just pull the back end out and theres room to get your hand in.
Then basically pulled the surround off were the rear interior light is .Cut off some of the supplied wire (on the L.E.D's) as there was quite a lot.Connected up to the interor light and through my switch.Cable tie'd my spare cable up and replaced the plastic surround.
The L.E.D's were attached with some velcro i stuck to the back of the lights ...i can then remove them or move them about if i need too.
One light fitted
Two lights fitted
L.E.D's on
Picture taken with just interior lights (no flash on camera)
Picture taken with interior and L.E.D's on (no flash on camera)
Makes such a difference
Can't belive i waited this long struggling with the dim rear light.
Oh ..and if i leave the switch on when i lock the car (or shut the doors) the L.E.D's dim down like the interior lights ..nice touch ...
Thanks again XTC for your reccomendation

Cheers. That's where I went wrong. I only used LED lights. Not the work and boot bit. Didn't realise you could search like that. Everyday is a school day on here. I am a bit of an IT retard. But I do try.
Many thanks . Will have to look at getting some now ready for my hols in May HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Off to Morocco for 2 weeks so some decent lights inside the car will be of use. I think. Plus if I'm working on the D3 then I don't have to talk to the Long Haired General .
Just got to look for a fridge now. Plus everything else I think I might need. Which is quite a lot. But it's all must have bits

I hope you don't mind but I've linked your pictures to a new forum I'm a MOD on. If you don't want to be linked I'll remove it. I have given you credit and this forum aswell. It's based on competition and expedition. If no one minds I'll put a link up but will hold off till I get the go ahead. Don't want to get told off HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Pref Gomo as they are about the right size for what i need ..
But size wise im after
Length - 440mm - 480 mm
Width - 360 mm( can be slightly smaller but deffinatly no bigger )
Hight - 200 - 220 mm
Gomos are the nearest i have found at
length- 440mm
Width - 310mm
Hight - 210mm
All mesurments are outside dimentions ..must be strong , stackable and pref black (and plastic to save weight )

Ah plastic. Nothing that we have at work falls into the lightweight category . Wil keep an eye out though to see what falls out from the stores . No promises though HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE
