Just changed my pollen filter after 60 000km's. I can really recommend it as there is absolutely no smell at all. Frontrunner roofrack and ladder. Optima yellow top. National Luna dual battery system. Bridgestone Dueler D694 A/T.

If you go offroad a lot (in convoy especially), it gets quite badly clogged up. LR also don't seem to replace it as often as they should. Its easy enough to check and clean in the field. the main symptom is an aircon that gets a bit athsmatic, ie. still cold, but not much airflow.
Because I usually have 2 kids with or without dogs in the vehicle, I never really noticed any other smells

Thinking of myself as inquisitive minded person I just realized that I don’t know where the pollen filter is located….
Any help?

just open the glovebox, push the stays on the sides of the lid towards the dashboard while pushing the glovebox downwards, and it will open all the way and tip its contents into the footwell.
right in front of your eyes should be a little black plastic cover that houses the pollen filter. you simply unclip this and slide the filter out, taking care to note which side is up. There are a lot of posts about this, and hopefully some with pics
